McFadden from Bovevagh, County Londonderry, Nth Ireland

Postby bobmcfadden » Mon Apr 03, 2017 7:36 pm

Hi all.
I have traced my lineage back to my g g g g grandfather, Adam McFadden who was born c1768 in Bovevagh, County Derry. He married Elizabeth Laughlin and they had two known children - Adam b.1788 and James b. 6/5/1820, chr. 7/6/1820 at Bovevagh Presbyterian Church.
Adam's grandson, Adam, emigrated to Australia in 1883, where I live. (Another grandson emigrated to America, dying in Whiteside, Illinois in 1904.)
I have details of the generations down to the present.
Does anyone else have any knowledge of this line of McFadden?

Our family lineage includes Andrew McFadden who lived in Coleraine, also in County Derry. He immigrated there from Scotland in 1693. Andrew's children by two spouses were James, John, Andrew, Summersette and Daniel. They were born from 1701 - 1722. I only have subsequent information on John, my 5g grandfather. Do you happen to know who Adam McFadden's father or grandfather was?
