Hello,
I am looking for information on George Edward McFadden.He was in an orphanage in Rockland County New York during the late 1800s to early 1900s. He was put into the orphanage by a man named Joseph McFadden. We do not have any information on the parents of George Edward McFadden and was wondering if anyone had any information.

Mary McFadden married James McLaughlin, had a son Charles McLaughlin born c 1790. Apparently they were farmers in the Leck, Letterkenny area of Co.Donegal

We have a complete family history back to a distance ancestor in PA. to the present for our family.
We are curious if anybody has any information back to Ireland or Scotland. Dates are accurate as they are buried in the Sugar Creek Cemetary in Venago County.

I wonder if anyone else on here shares relatives with me. My oldest ancestor that I can find was Malcolm McFadden born 1812 who married Mary Murphy. He was from Moycraig, Mosside, County Antrim, just between Ballymoney & Ballycastle. His daughter was Nancy Jane McFadden who married a William Denholm/Denham, and they spent time going back and fourth from Moycraig to Dennistoun, Glasgow. My next direct ancestor would be their daughter Jane, then Janes daughter Jeanie Mary who had a brother named Malcolm born 1893 who was killed at the Battle Of The Somme. If anybody here thinks anything sounds familiar here I’d love to hear from you. Thanks

I have just within the past 4 weeks found who my father was and his name. Since then I have researched as best as possible. Richard Thomas McFadden was born in 1925 in Illinois his father was Harold McFadden born 1901 in Illinois his father was James T McFadden born about 1863 in Illinois then his father James McFadden born in 1827 in Ireland so this is what I have so far

Hi all.
I have traced my lineage back to my g g g g grandfather, Adam McFadden who was born c1768 in Bovevagh, County Derry. He married Elizabeth Laughlin and they had two known children - Adam b.1788 and James b. 6/5/1820, chr. 7/6/1820 at Bovevagh Presbyterian Church.
Adam's grandson, Adam, emigrated to Australia in 1883, where I live. (Another grandson emigrated to America, dying in Whiteside, Illinois in 1904.)
I have details of the generations down to the present.
Does anyone else have any knowledge of this line of McFadden?
